Summary

Green hydrogen is produced by electrically splitting water into hydrogen and oxygen – a process executed by electrolysers. However, legacy electrolysers currently used rely on outdated designs and electrode technologies that are inefficient and cannot adapt to fluctuating energy supplies. They consume too much energy and cannot tap into cheap renewable power or day-ahead electricity markets – driving green hydrogen costs up. This presentation shows how new electrode technologies and modern electrolyser architectures are overcoming these barriers and unlocking flexible, affordable green hydrogen production.

Vincent Trouche

Vincent Trouche is the Cofounder and CEO of Adele Hydrogen, a deep-tech company developing next-generation alkaline electrolysis electrodes. He previously worked at Arkema, Louis Dreyfus Commodities, McKinsey & Company, and several technology startups. Vincent holds an MSc in Industrial Engineering from INSA Lyon and an MBA from INSEAD. At Adele Hydrogen, he leads the development and industrialization of the Pathfinder electrodes, a breakthrough technology enabling cost-competitive green hydrogen production from renewable energy sources.
