Summary

Parking is much more than a service—it is a public policy tool. The Fondation des Parkings will illustrate how it supports the energy transition through electromobility initiatives, including charging infrastructure and electric taxis, while encouraging modal shift through P+R facilities and infrastructure dedicated to soft mobility. Tailored offerings for residents, professionals, and commuters, support for corporate mobility plans, and facilitation of car-sharing are all part of a comprehensive strategy. Regulation through pricing and enforcement complements this approach. Public management ensures a long-term vision aligned with collective urban challenges rather than purely economic objectives. In this event, we will explore:

Damien Zuber

A graduate of the Geneva Hotel School, Damien Zuber has been the head of the Fondation des Parkings since 2020, after having led the operations department for 10 years. President of the professional association ParkingSwiss and delegate to the European Parking Association (EPA), he has in-depth knowledge of infrastructure, market conditions, user needs, and the future challenges of parking in the canton of Geneva. As the leading operator in Switzerland, the Foundation manages 42,000 parking spaces for cars, motorcycles, and bicycles across 250 parking facilities—including P+R sites, public and private car parks, and bike stations—as well as 48,000 on-street parking spaces.
