Global offshore wind capacity is expected to increase from 54 GW in 2022 to over 234 GW by 2030. Investments in offshore wind reached approximately $60 billion in 2022, with projections suggesting this could grow to $1 trillion by 2040.

Markus Fischer
Markus Fischer is Senior Regulatory Advisor at Ørsted. He closely follows energy regulation in Brussels, represents Ørsted towards EU institutions, and co-shapes European net-zero policymaking. Prior to his current role, Markus worked at Ørsted’s Corporate PPA and Global M&A teams. He holds two master’s degrees in environmental policy and international law from SciencesPo Paris and Peking University
